AAJRB has limited availability for seasonal employment for local residents interested in outdoor work at the park. Applications are accepted at the Clarks Summit borough offices daily until 3 pm. An outline of the positions expected to be available are as follows:

Park Grounds Crew Supervisor

Qualified individual will perform and oversee facility and grounds maintenance activities. Supervises and participates in mowing, pruning, and maintenance of park grounds. Ensures park grounds & facilities are cleaned which includes removing trash and cleaning restrooms. Schedules crew hours within operating budget and assigns equipment; monitors work quality and quantity; records and submits payroll hours; ensures safety of operations; and submits gas and supply receipts. Replies to maintenance requests from park user groups.

Park Grounds Crew

Mow grass, weed whack, fix fences, pick up trash, trim bushes and trees, maintain trails, weed and water flower beds.  Follow directions of Crew Supervisor. Mulch trails and trees. Assists in requests from park groups for maintenance and support of the community garden, dog park, earth camp, soccer fields, fishing derby.

Summer Camp Counselor

Minimum age: 18 years of age at time of employment. Possess current state and federal child abuse clearances and first aid certificates by time of employment.

Supervise campers and be responsible for their health and safety at all times.

Implement a variety of appropriate camp activities including canoeing, fishing, rocketry, arts and sports. Attend training, staff meetings and special events as scheduled.  Camp weeks: July 5^th – August 18^th. Camp days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am – 2pm.

These are outdoor jobs that require long hours in the sun, rain and heat to make the park a clean, safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. These are part-time, seasonal, temporary employment opportunities. Pay rates from $7.25 up to $10/hour.
